A new website is being developed specific to the South Florida area. Travelballfl.com is a South Florida dedicated website for Youth Travel baseball.
As South Florida is home to some of the Nations best teams and events, a new website was built so you can be more informed about whats happening in our sport. The main objective is to attract corporate sponsorship to get involved in the sport, to make it better for all those who participate, support and follow this competitive sport. The site will bring you News, Tournaments, Reviews, events, galleries of pictures, videos and much more so you can come to one site and get what you need. Over time they will also sponsor events throughout the region to give back to the players, people, Coaches and organizations who make this sport what it is. 
The sport is growing throughout the Nation, and this site wants to keep South Florida informed about Youth Travel baseball locally and Nationally. Tired of trying to find the next tournament to play in and not knowing where to look? Travelballfl.com will publish tournaments locally as well as nationally so you can determine where and when you can and want to play. There will be links to the sites so you can register or get more information easily. Are you holding a tournament? Let them know so your tournament can be posted to advertise your event. The site objective is to inform, so let them help you drive teams to your event. 
Of course, we can not be successful without your help. Travelballfl.com urge you to write articles, send pictures, vote on a Players or Teams of the month. Advertise your Tournament information and send in the results to be published. They have a tough task to rank teams in all age groups from 9U to 14U, which no doubt will cause dialog between us all. Write articles about what you are doing and participate in letting people know your experiences, good or bad. Coaches can send in video clips of practice techniques, training devices or any information you feel valuable to help others. If you like a product, let them know so we can get the word out. You are the best resource for information so others can benefit from what you have done, doing and what you are going to do. This will only make our sport better for the whole community.Need information about an event. Let them know and they can get that information to you. Most likely you are not alone, and others no doubt are looking for the same information. Get involved. The Wolverines are hosting a 3 day tournament starting Thursday July 10, 2014. The tournament format will be double elimination.

Thursday and Friday will host a 4pm game and Saturday starts at 10am up to Championship game at the end of day.

Camp Format:

The program is designed to provide instruction on the fundamentals of baseball. Players will be instructed in offensive and defensive situations. Players will be placed in groups according to age, strength, and ability level.

What to Bring:

Players must bring baseball cleats, tennis shoes, glove, a bat, batting helmet, water bottle, and a dry shirt for after practice. Please make sure the player's name is on all their equipment. Water and Gatorade will be provided during practice.

New Leagues and Tournaments will allow teams to earn points for Nations and IBC National and World Series events. We will also promote regional, state and nation wide tournaments for your consideration. Bases Loaded is Putting together a  14-U 60/90 Perfect Game, Prospect Wire Tournament Team. In order to be eligible you must be born after May 1st 1999. We will be traveling in the summer around the State of Florida playing competitive Baseball. Our Home Field will be at Bamford Sports Park in Davie Florida on Pine island rd 1.5 miles south of I-595

Inviting Other Teams to Play Games and Scrimmages

If you do not see the teams you want to play on iScrimmage.com? Invite them into the system. Its real easy and takes no time at all. Follow these steps below;

Once you log in using your Google account (see previous Blog for instructions and overview), you will be at your dashboard. We are working on upgrading the dashboard so you will have more functionality, so stay tuned for this.

On the left menu, select "Invite" and this will take you to the Invite screen.

As you will see, just select who you want to invite into the site. If you want to invite and play a team, select "Invite and Challenge a Team Coach/Manager". Fill in their email address, Last and First name and hit "Send Invite". An auto generated email will be sent to that person from you with an easy link to enter into the site directly from the email. Its easy to do.

You can select "Invite a Team Coach/Manager" if you feel they would benefit from the site. Get the word out to all the teams you would like to play.

You can also invite a Player or Parent to the site as part of your team. By doing this, you can easily communicate to that Player or parent within the system as part of your team if you so desire. After hitting the "Send Invite" button, again, an auto generated email will be sent to that person with a direct link to enter into the site.

We are developing tools so you can communicate better and easier with your team and other teams as well.

Get the word out. Invite as many teams as you can so everyone has competition. The objective is for our kids to play ball, develop their skill and have fun doing it.

Step by Step to Scheduling Scrimmages

Its real easy to schedule scrimmages online at iScrimmage.com. Whether you are already in the system or you are new, there are easy steps to scheduling games with teams in and out of the system.

The reason we use Google to sign in is for the cool tools Google offers as we build the site. Much more functionality is coming. 

For those with a Profile already set up in Iscrimmage.com:

Sign in using your Google account

This will take you to your Dashboard

Click on "Schedule a Game". This takes you to the Games screen.

You now can select "Set Game Availability" or "Request Specific Game"

"Set Game Availability" is used when you are looking for an opponent to play on a specific date. This is seen by all other teams also looking for games. When selected, you fill in the Date, Time, a location and whether you want to play home, away or either. If you are playing away, you can fill in the distance you want to travel. Filling this in will be seen by teams within that radius from YOUR home field. Fill in as many days as you want. This was made so it is easy to put out a schedule without the hassle of calling teams and seeing if they are available to play.

TIP: Your home game is another team's away. There really is no need for coaches meetings trying to schedule games. If you post your home games, and search for away games (other teams home games) a schedule can be formed easily.

The system is set up to auto send all team players and parents emails and notifications of games beening scheduled, without the added hassle of making a separate group email. More on that in another Blog.

"Request Specific Game" is used when you want to play a specific team, whether they are in or out of the system. From the drop down box select the team you are interested in playing, on what date and tim Add a location. Click "Request Game" and an email will be sent to the team you want to play. You can follow up with a call if you so wish by selecting the team name from your Games screen.

Click "Can't Find your Team? Click here to invite them" when you can not find the team you want to play. Invite them to play you in our system. This way you can manage your team and communicate with your Parents and players easily.

For those who are new to iScrimmage.com:

Weston Tournament kicks off Spring Season

Spring Baseball 2014 Kicks off with Competitive Tournament

WOW!! Way to kick the season off with the Weston Hawks Winter Warm-Up held in Weston this weekend. The Weston Hawks organization did a great job managing this tournament. Congratulations. There were weather delays during the week, but they managed to arrange the games so they could be all completed. This tournament in the past has been a great season opener and this year was no different.
There were nearly 90 teams playing and the competition was fierce.
Congratulations to ALL Teams who competed, win or lose, you are all champions.
